I've known Angie for the better part of 30 years. What is important is how change has put her in a place in her life to help others, including one aging, but young man, who found himself in need. Angie's willingness to help despite some less-than-ideal circumstances shows how growth with God really is that important and it shows in the care and concern she was willing to give me.

My son, Devin Coleman, passed away from an accidental drug overdose in October 2020. While he was struggling to breathe, a witness not only watched him die without calling emergency medical services, but video taped it and posted the video online.
Florida doesn't have any form of, "Good Samaritan" law so there wasn't anything police could do to hold her accountable for not simply calling 911 which would have saved my sons life.
After that, I began an effort to have our Florida Legislators, starting with our district state senator, Doug Broxson, enact a law making it a civil or criminal offense to watch someone die and not making the best effort possible to contact emergency medical services. I have asked Senator Broxson to call the legislation, "Devin's Law" in memory of my son. Having such a law will save lives as it will encourage others to think twice before just ignoring or walking away from what could mean the difference between life and death.
Angie heard of this effort on my part through local news coverage and immediately contacted me to create more awareness of my objective through Positively Persistent. Having that platform to share my story not only reached many, many more people and supporters of my effort, but really helped me with the healing and grieving process.
That was 9 months ago and Angie still stays in touch with me not just to see how, "Devin's Law" is progressing but to also encourage me to continue the healing process.
Angie and Positively Persistent has been such an amazing partner, supporter and friend. In my darkest days and hours, Angie and Positively Persistent was just a phone call away.
